Ragging in any form is a criminal offense and is strictly prohibited inside and outside the Institute. As per the directives of the Honorable Supreme Court, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and Govt. of West Bengal, stringent actions are recommended against students for pandering to and encouraging ragging.

Whosoever unswervingly or indirectly commends, participates in, abets, or proliferates ragging within or outside the educational institution shall on certainty, be punished as per the rules. If a student is drawn in any act of ragging prior to taking admission then such a student will be denied admission to the Institute.

However, if at a later stage, it is found that an admitted student has indulged in any act of ragging then such a student will be rusticated.

A meeting of the Anti-Ragging Committee formation & formation of the Anti-Ragging Squad of Rajendranath College of Polytechnic was held on 10/02/2022 at Rajendranath College of Polytechnic, Gopalpur, Durgapur Campus as per the schedule with the following member is present.

Details of Anti-Ragging Committee:

The Discipline Committee is a bridge between students and authorities. The most important intention of the Disciplinary Committee is to deal with and efficiently unravel various student related matters. The committee has to uphold poise between student’s demands/ problems and viability of explanation provided by authorities.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  To ensure a peaceful and nonviolent academic atmosphere on the campus.
  • To steer clear of physical confrontation among students.
  • To carry out inquiries on reports of disciplinary activities among students
  • To commence model actions against students involved in disciplinary activities
  • To initiate steps to diminish hostility, an altercation in future

STUDENTS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY:

  • To respect the possessions and safety of others.
  • To contribute to a cooperative learning environment.
  • To attend class prepared to learn.
  •  To maintain the rules and regulations of the college given in the information brochure, provided to the students during admission

 PARENTS HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY:

  • To support College policy in a positive way.
  • To assist in their child’s learning as a partner with the College in matters concerning homework, uniform, attendance, parent-teacher interactions and behavior.

The Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) of Rajendranath College of Polytechnic is a body that is responsible for addressing the grievances of students, staff, and other stakeholders of the college. The GRC is headed by the Principal of the college and consists of representatives from the teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as students. The GRC meets regularly to hear grievances and take action to resolve them.

The GRC can be contacted by submitting a written grievance to the Principal’s office. The grievance should include the name of the aggrieved person, the nature of the grievance, and any supporting evidence. The GRC will then investigate the grievance and take appropriate action.

The GRC is committed to providing a fair and impartial forum for resolving grievances. The GRC’s goal is to ensure that all members of the college community feel that their concerns are heard and addressed.

As per the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC) the institutions of higher learning must ensure safety of women in their campuses. This Women Taskforce aspires to recognize actions to address the lack of gender equality which remains apparent in education and learning settings.

We make sure zero tolerance of harassment, of any kind, of girls and women on campus. With the help of the members of women taskforce of this institution, we would make intensive efforts to help to put in place a responsive mechanism focusing on not only on careful supervision; but also on institutional interventions, counselling and quick redressal.
